The article is about thousands of people fleeing from Syria to surrounding countries such as; Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt. Some leave because they are traumatized by war or the pain of lost relatives.
This impacts Syria because they are losing people to work for them, so they are losing money for their country. This impacts other countries because Jordan's energy, water, health, and education services have been severely strained. Turkey has spent more than $600 million setting up 17 refugee camps, with more coming. Jordan also does not allow refugees to work for them, so if they can't work then they are losing money for their country.

Current Event 2/22/13
On Wednesday, the police found human remains burnt inside of a burned out cabin. The cops exchanged gunfire with the believed to be suspect. The body has not been identified yet. They saw the suspect 2 times on tuesday, but since the article was made they have not yet caught the suspect.
I don't think this is good because by the looks of it, the man was either burned alive or killed and then burned. Either way, his life probably did not deserve to be taken. I hope the man that is responsible for this pays for his actions and has to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Current Event: 2/8/13
On Saturday, February 1st, a navy seal was shot down by a sniper along with another man. The navy seal was an author of the best-selling "American Sniper". Chad Littlefield was the other man shot down that day. Nobody knows the motives of the shooter, but they do have him in custody.
I think this is bad because anybody who is serving for our country does not deserve to have their lives taken so soon. I know they risk their lives everyday, but this wasn't related to war. I think the person that did this deserves to spend his life in jail.

Current Event 1/31/13: The Syrian Crisis
Current Event
This current event is about the countries turning against Syria. Syria is concerned about where the U.S. aid is going. The U.S. has given $210 million in aid to Syria, but people are wondering where the help is coming from. The regime is going after and killing people who are delivering the supplies.
I think this is bad because the U.S. is just trying to help. Some of our people could get killed if they find us delivering supplies to Syria. Maybe we shouldn't be helping them because it puts us at risk.

Current Event 1/24/13: Libya threatens to spawn more unrest in North Africa
This article is about Libya wanting to cause more trouble between North Africa and themselves. They started to get out of control with their weapons. This led them to Mali, Sinai, and even out to the Lebanese coast.
I think it is a bad idea. Why would a country want to start revolting with neighbor countries? I think this will just start to get Libya into trouble, and this could turn bad against them in the end.
